GEORGE NEWS - Georgians will be putting on their dancing shoes for the Holy Cross Primary 'Back to the 80s' party to be held on Saturday 28 October at the St Augustine Hall in Meade Street.
Carolyn de Jongh, chairperson of the Holy Cross fundraising committee, said the dance was postponed in June due to the Knysna fires. DJ MickeyD from Mix Academy Entertainment will be the music man.
A photo booth, raffles, impromptu dance lessons, flash mobs and games, like 'guess the song' and 'guess the year' will add to the fun.
The focus is on 80s entertainment and everything, including the decor, will be 80s themed.
Prizes are up for grabs, including 'best dressed' and 'best dance' as well as spot prizes.
Enjoy a fabulous three-course meal. The starter is a butternut and orange soup with a sherry cream.
There will be breads, four different curries, including a Thai Green Curry, Vindaloo, Korma and a vegetarian option and for dessert there will be an assortment of desserts and a coffee bar.
If a table of ten is booked, you can enjoy two bottles of wine on the house. You can bring your own refreshments.
All proceeds raised go towards the school.
Tickets are R190 per person and are available from Holy Cross Primary.
