GEORGE NEWS - The Western Cape launch of the poetry book ‘Monstrously at the mercy’ by Pretoria author and musician Rian Britz was held on Sunday 17 February at The Le Roux Gallery in Wilderness.
At the event, Britz said poetry should be read for pleasure and readers do not necessarily need to have an understanding of the darker underlying thoughts conveyed.
Award winning writer/poet and Oudtshoorn Courant editor, Hannes Visser interviewed Britz and asked him about his views on the notion that poetry is uplifting for the soul.
