ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - Fans of the King of Pop may look forward to an evening of music, dance and nostalgia when Thriller: The MJ Dance Tribute comes to the George Arts Theatre at 19:00 on Saturday 20 June.
This high-energy stage production celebrates the life, music and enduring legacy of Michael Jackson through a performance by acclaimed tribute artist Eagan February, or Eagan Feb, as he is known on stage.
Running for about one hour and 45 minutes, the show takes audiences on a journey through Jackson's legendary career, featuring many of his greatest hits, signature dance moves and iconic stage moments.
The choreographed dancers, live vocals and replica Michael Jackson costumes recreate the excitement and spectacle that made Jackson one of the world's most celebrated entertainers.
February began studying Jackson's artistry, dance techniques and musical history in depth before launching his tribute career in 2008.
Following Jackson's death in 2009, his commitment to preserving the star's legacy intensified, helping him establish a reputation as one of South Africa's leading Michael Jackson impersonators.
His attention to detail - from vocal delivery and choreography to costume design - has earned him recognition both locally and internationally.
He has performed at the Patong Beach Festival in Phuket, Thailand, and has appeared on television programmes such as Maak My Famous, South Africa's Got Talent, Hectic Nine-9 and the Expresso Morning Show.
Over the years, February has performed at major venues across South Africa, including GrandWest Casino, the V&A Waterfront Amphitheatre, the Baxter Theatre Centre, the Soweto Theatre and the George Arts Theatre.
