ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - Before Patricia Lewis made the term Blonde Ambisie famous with her reality TV show, Madonna was touring the Blonde Ambition tour way back in 1990.
It’s an iconic moment of pop culture history, but now the term may be coming back to haunt the singer who last year blasted film makers intent on making a film of that name about her life.
Last year, when the pop monarch heard about a script by Elyse Hollander called Blond Ambition that chronicled her rise from talented citizen to pop stardom, she let it be known that she wasn’t amused.
In an Instagram post, Madonna stormed: “Nobody knows what I know and what I have seen. Only I can tell my own story.
“Anyone else who tries is a charlatan and a fool. Looking for instant gratification without doing the work. This is a disease in our society.”
Now it turns out the star may actually be taking the reigns of the project as the director.
The film was put into development by producer Michael De Luca and Universal Pictures but has since hit difficulties because the singer would not grant permission to use original songs from early in her career.
Madonna, who is turning 60 this year has, according to the Daily Mail, changed her mind and now wants to use the film as a way to record her career for posterity and the producers are said to be keen. Perhaps the success of Bohemian Rhapsody and the imminent arrival of the Elton John biopic will mean this project will finally get off the ground?
