GEORGE NEWS - The musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat opens tonight, Wednesday 26 June, at the George Arts Theatre for its first performance week.
Show director Quintin van Biljon said ticket sales went splendid, with only a hand full of seats left for this week. "We do have plenty seats available, though, for the second week, from Wednesday 3 July to Saturday 6 July," said Van Biljon.
The production is a spectacular blend of music, dance, and storytelling. It brings the Biblical story alive of Joseph, the favoured son with prophetic dreams, who embarks on a journey to Egypt after being sold into slavery by his brothers.
Tickets are available at Computicket at R150 (adults), R120 (members and children). For information contact the George Arts theatre (044 873 3938), send an email to enquiries@georgeartstheatre.co.za or follow the Facebook Page.
Evening performances start at 19:00 with matinee shows available at 14:00 on 29 June and 6 July.
Jealousy shows its nasty face: Joseph's brothers plan to get rid of Joseph, who is clearly the apple of his father's eye. From left are Xavier Traut (Issachar), Alexander Douglas (Reuben) and Dirk van Staden (Dan).
