GEORGE NEWS - It's showtime at the George Arts Theatre with the Grand Ol' Dame Arts Festival starting on Thursday 17 March.
Vice-president of the George Arts Society Chrisma Theron is super excited about all the festivities planned for the coming weekend.
The festival kicks off tonight with Lizz Meiring's one-man show Die Weduwee se Sjampanje. The rest of the long weekend is filled with delicious food, art, coffee and culture.
"The profits made from this long weekend arts festival go to the restoration of our 116-year-old 'Grand Ol' Dame's roof. After many years of water damage, our Dame needs it more than ever," said Theron.
"The Grand Ol 'Dame Arts Festival is going to be a culturally fulfilling experience!" Book tickets at the theatre (125 York Street) or through Computicket.
