GEORGE NEWS - The George Music Society have arranged an excellent concert in honour of George’s 200th year of existence. The Jazz Connection by Ramon Alexander quartet, consisting of Ramon Alexander on piano, Lou-Ann Stone on saxophone, Josh Prinsloo, bassist, and Annemie Nel on drums will set the stage on fire.
The amazing, local jazz singer, Lynette Petersen, is the vocalist. This group is on their way to take part in the Grahams-town Festival and Saturday’s performance is an ideal opportunity for all jazz lovers to see locals in action. This concert will showcase their impromptu jazz skills.
*Ramon Alexander is a York High matriculant and Lynette Petersen an Outeniqua High matriculant.
The concert takes place on Saturday 14 May at 19:30 at the Arts Theatre. Tickets R80 for adults, R60 for Music Society members and R20 for children.
