GEORGE NEWS - Cover by cover, the Market Community Theatre in Market Street will be clad in bright beautiful shweshwe material for future theatre goers to enjoy. Fabric World donated a total of 120m of material for this project.
"We are really catching some steam," said theatre director Heather Stead. "It is amazing how many people are willing to help. We are so grateful for the material." Currently only 15 chairs are still in need of a cover, at R300 each. Once sponsored, all 100 theatre seats will look fabulous, dressed in shweshwe.
The hard work of making the covers are done by women of Isipho, the sustainable development section of Life Community Services.

The box office: saxophone player Andrew Young's show on Friday night 1 March was nearly sold out. Elvinia Manuel and Heather Stead are manning the ticket sales.
