PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Residents of Plettenberg Bay are invited to enjoy an evening of piano and love songs with internationally acclaimed cabaret star Godfrey Johnson.
Johnson will be performing his show, Songs my Lover Forgot to Teach Me, at Bosky Dell Farm & Rose Garden in Plettenberg Bay on Sunday 13 February, starting at 18:00.
Johnson’s 70-minute programme features favourite songs from his career, with original work by himself as well as songs by Tori Amos, Jacques Brel, Leonard Cohen, Dorothy Parker and Noel Coward, all performed in Johnson’s unique way.
Over the years Johnson has been nominated for seven Fleur du Cap Theatre Awards, including nominations for Best Actor in a Musical, Best Composer and Best Performance in a One Person Show.
His recent successes include appearances in The Shadow of Brel, VASLAV, Bambi Sings The FAK Songs and Insanitized, as well as the Showmax production, Tali's Wedding.
