GEORGE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - Do not miss the George Strawberry Festival presented by Ola - the country life and good food family weekend at Redberry Farm in George - this weekend, 21 and 22 September.
On both days you can shop at the outdoor country market, stop at the Strawberry Emporium or the François Ferreira Strawberry Food Theatre for an indulgence in delicacies, have your kids play at the Frogfoot Kids Play Park, play large classic games at the McDonald's Games Garden and enjoy the Ace Models Strawberry pageants as the best strawberry outfits are modelled in various age categories.
T-Cross
Join Tavcor George for the sweet reveal of the Volkswagen T-Cross at the festival! Make sure to visit the Tavcor George stand and see what this new compact SUV is all about. You may very well drive away in the most connected Volkswagen yet and experience what it feels like to play by your own rules.
Be active
Saturday's programme will allow you to partake in the 5km fun run/walk or 9km Trail Run powered by Outeniqua Refrigeration, flex your muscles and show that you are CrossFit's Fittest in the Garden Route, watch as people compete in the Adults and Kids Strawberry Eat-Off challenges, or stomp strawberries to win great prizes.
Rhythmical Seeds will show off their talents in various dance routines. Cheer the rugby champions Springboks in their match against New Zealand at the RSA Group Music Stage and enjoy live performances by Shaza, Devin Harmer, Rhino and the Rasta, and Daniel Fernandes while having a refreshing beverage from the SAB Beer Garden.
The line-up for Sunday will include a Mascot Parade with Scarlet the Strawberry and Ruby the Raspberry and their friends, a performance by the lively Lollos and local artists Brighitte Deister, Matt Carstens and Janine Fourie on the RSA Group Music Stage along with Strawberry Eat-Off and Stomping challenges and more dance routines by Rhythmical Seeds.
