5 September (19:00) and 7 September (16:00):
The Ugly Noo Noo at the Market Community Theatre. A physical theatre play by Andrew Buckland, who recently retired to Knysna. "Buckland's extraordinary performance skills and the power of the script make this an ummissable theatre event that will make the audience howl with laughter at the sheer sensual pleasure of theatrical performance." - Barry Ronge. 6 September:
90 Day Comedian (19:00) at the Market Community Theatre with Dalin Oliver. Fresh from performing at the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Oliver cannot wait to dive into themes of identity, culture and belonging - offering a hilarious yet moving reflection on what it means to be proudly South African. 12 to 14 September:
Shakespeare Schools Festival (18:00 - 20:00) at the Market Community Theatre. Enjoy performances by two or three schools, with learners presenting their own 30-minute adaptations of Shakespeare's plays, in any language, in a setting that speaks to them. Tickets: Webtickets or at the theatre for R70 and R50.
Scenes from the Opera, 26 September (18:30) at Sedgefield NG Church and 28 September (16:00) at Market Community Theatre.
Presented by Goldblatt Music Productions, featuring Phyllis Goldblatt (soprano), Siphesihle Mdena (tenor), Luvo Rasemeni (bass-baritone) and Zolina Ngejane (mezzosoprano), with piano accompaniment by Vanessa Phillips.
