An official photo shoot was done for the film and rehearsals started in August. The cast are from all over the Garden Route and students from York High, George High and Outeniqua High also form part of this production, as well as students from a Knysna drama group.
"After the making of our first film 'A Date with Destiny' we found a lot of interest in film making here in the Garden Route. We want the film making industry to expand in this area," said a director, Luretha Cronje.
"The film making industry is a very popular industry, but very hard to get into. In creating this platform for the community many more job opportunities can be expected once the industry has expanded. All costumes were bought from the SPCA shop and most documents are done electronically. In this way we help the community by caring for the animals and also the environment by creating less paper waste, but we need donations for our wardrobe," said film director Portia Marais.
Shooting is due to start in September and the film should be finished in time for Halloween.
