Carpe Musicam! performing this weekend

GEORGE NEWS - Catch the local orchestra and choir Carpe Musicam! at their two last concerts of 2024 on Friday 13 December at 19:00 in the Outeniqua High School Hall in George, and Sunday 15 December at 18:00 in the Mossel Bay Town Hall.

The first performance of their 2024 Christmas Concert, Ode to joy, which is a rousing collection of unique interpretations of everyone’s favourite Christmas music, was full to capacity.

Among the highlights were violin soloists Cherith Bain and renowned violin teacher Jean Kotze adding a Spanish-flavoured flair to We Three Kings. The Magic of Christmas, a medley of secular Christmas songs, is another highlight.

Countdown to Christmas was a light-hearted choral take on The March of the Toys and Bolero de Noël was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
