ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - For the first time in George’s history, a parking garage was cleared and converted into a venue for a rock concert.
On Thursday 15 August, the Wine & Whatever Experience in proud partnership with Vodacom, staged a Bryan Adams Tribute in the garage below Augusta Grill & Patisserie on the corner of Courtnay and Meade Streets.
A total of 560 people, seated around 60 tables enjoyed a tribute to this rock legend performed by 5 top musicians.
Clint Falconer and Dean Barrett from Dan Patlansky band, Werner Bosman from Jesse Clegg, Jason Oosthuizen from Van Coke Kartel and OOOTH, and Henry Grundling as frontman, delivered a killer performance bringing the songs of Adams’ 35 year career to life.
Picnic baskets provided by Glenwood School catered to the concert-goer’s appetites and the wine flowed as the band entertained the guests.
Although the show ended at 21:30, the majority stayed to enjoy one of the networking and social events of the year – the last group leaving after 23:00.
