GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS AND VIDEO - The Abbi Geldenhuys Academy for Ballet hosted a dance "mosaic", Dancing for dogs, last weekend at the George Arts Theatre.
Seven dance schools from the Garden Route area put a wonderful show together to raise funds for the People's Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) and Marileen Greeff from Borcherds Paws in George.

Six dancers from Mossel Bay were part of a group of 20 Spanish dancers from Marlise's School of Spanish Dance, who performed Bamboleo, Senorita and the Flamenco Waltz. Marlise says their youngest dancer was 11 and the oldest, 63 years.
"We enjoy dancing and this event gave us the necessary motivation to work hard during our weekly sessions and help to raise funds for charities."
Geldenhuys says the event raised R40 000 which will be distributed equally between the charities. The money will mainly be used to sterilise dogs and to inform and guide dog owners on the correct ways to take proper care of their dogs.
