GEORGE HERALD - Christmas is approaching and with it the time for singing Christmas carols.
For the first time in George, the Eden Camerata chamber choir is offering the public this opportunity. In a one and only performance in the Market Community Theatre, the choir will present The singing Christmas tree.
They will sing well- known carols from around the world in Swedish, English, French, Latin and Afrikaans - and the audience will be invited to sing along!
Join them for a memorable Sunday afternoon on 17 November, at 16:00 at the Market Community Theatre for songs like Once in royal David's city, Stille Nag, Hosianna David's son and many others.
Tickets are only R100 and are available on Webtickets or at the door.
Eden Camerata is well established in George, and known throughout Eden and the Southern Cape. Under the direction of Dr Andre van Zyl, the 18-member choir sings sacred, secular and light music.
This year, among other things, they successfully organised the ATKV Applous competition for the South Cape region, participated in a choir festival with Rhodes University and performed with André Schwartz in the Dutch Reformed Mother Church in George.
