GEORGE NEWS - YFC's Options Care Centre hosted their annual fundraising banquet at Fancourt on Tuesday 21 October. Nearly 220 guests enjoyed a delicious dinner in the beautifully decorated banqueting hall with the theme 'Yielding a fruitful harvest' from Psalm 107:37.
With Chivell Viviers as master of ceremonies, the programme highlighted personal stories interspersed with viola interludes played by Ingrid Robinson.
A five-minute video created by Jason Maggott focused on what Options does.
Phil and Michelle Pennington shared the motivation and the need for guests to pledge and give financially and the programme concluded with 'All things new' sung by Fred de Meillon.
"Options would like to thank all who gave and pledged so generously and to those who invested in the event," says Laurie Edwall, the director.
Options has been reaching out to youth and families facing a pregnancy or HIV crisis since 1997 and is located at 54 Albert Street. All services are free and confidential and 100% of the proceeds from the banquet goes to Options' running costs.
