GEORGE NEWS - Georgians and visitors are invited to the annual Redberry Fun Run on Saturday 27 June, in aid of Life Community Services.
The event is hosted on Redberry Farm and offers a choice between a 5km and 9km route winding through the farm's strawberry and kiwi fields.
The fun run is open to runners and walkers of all fitness levels, whether aiming for a personal best or simply enjoying a relaxed outing with family and friends.
Entry on the day costs R30 for the 5km route and R50 for the 9km route.
Registration opens at 07:15, and both routes start at 08:00. A water station will be available on both routes.
It is not a timed trail run and is not accredited. No dogs will be allowed on the routes.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Life Community Services. This NPO supports more than 4 000 orphaned and vulnerable children each week through community-based programmes, education initiatives, feeding schemes and youth development projects in and around George.
Their mission is to strengthen families, empower communities and improve the wellbeing of orphaned and vulnerable children through their programmes.
