GEORGE BOWLING NEWS - George Bowling Club recently completed their Men's Open Singles Championship.
The title was won by the former Protea player and SA Masters champion, Billy Radloff. He beat the defending champion, Mike McCarthy in the final over the weekend.
The final was heading for an "easy win" for Billy, who opened up an early 15-3 lead, only for Mike to stage a fight back to get to 15-11.
Billy soon picked up a four and then went on to win the game 21-13. Good sportsmanship was shown by both players who played on the excellent quality greens of the George Bowling Club.
Thanks to all the players, markers, scorers and ground staff for the great championship.
