GEORGE NEWS – Madibaz made history earlier today, Sunday 20 April, by becoming the first football team from George to reach the semi-finals of the Easter Soccer Tournament.
The student side secured their spot in the top four with a commanding 4-0 win over Zone 9 team Abahlali FC at Thembalethu Stadium.
Kamvelihle Dano was the standout performer, scoring a brilliant hat-trick, while Emile Jansen added a fourth to seal the victory.
Madibaz will be back in action at Thembalethu Stadium on Easter Monday for their semi-final clash, hoping to build on this milestone performance.
Abahlali FC were unable to withstand the attacking onslaught, with the lanky and determined Dano proving particularly difficult to contain.
