INDOOR CRICKET NEWS - Residents still have time to catch some of South Africa's top indoor cricket players in action as the Indoor Cricket South Africa (ICSA) Overs Inter-Provincial Tournament continues at Triumph Indoor Arena in George until Saturday, 18 July.
The national tournament is being hosted in George for the first time and has brought together 38 teams from nine provinces and districts to compete in the men's Over-30, Over-40 and Over-50 age divisions.
A total of 185 matches are being played during the week-long tournament, with about 450 players and 400 supporters taking part.
Local supporters have plenty to cheer for, with six Eden Indoor Sport teams competing against some of the country's best players on home soil.
The tournament is hosted by Eden Indoor Sport in partnership with George Tourism and George Municipality.
The organising committee said hosting the championship in George is a milestone for both the city and local indoor cricket.
"It is a proud moment for Eden Indoor Sport and the city of George. Hosting a national championship here, with strong local representation, highlights both the growth of indoor cricket and the strength of our community."

Residents who cannot attend in person can watch the matches live on the Triumph Indoor Arena YouTube channel, where selected games are also broadcast with live commentary.
Besides showcasing top-level indoor cricket, the tournament is expected to benefit local accommodation establishments, restaurants and other businesses as hundreds of visitors spend the week in George.
