CRICKET NEWS - A devastating batting display by Annerie Dercksen (125* from 105 balls; 6x6; 12x4) was not enough to take the Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers Women over the line.

Thanks to a Dercksen century, the Badgers posted 231/6 in their Hollywoodbets Pro 50 encounter against the DP World Lions in Oudtshoorn.

 The Lions chased down the winning target, a record run chase of 232/8, with 10 balls to spare.

In the Pro20 match, the Lions (108/3) won by 7 wickets after they restricted the Badgers to 102/7.

The Badgers will travel to Cape Town this weekend where they will take on Western Province at Newlands on Saturday (Pro50) and Sunday (Pro20).
