GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The Six-Gun Grill SWD cricket team is in Kimberley playing log leaders, Northern Cape Heat, in the Cricket South Africa Division 2 Four-Day competition.
An outright victory is needed to win the Four-Day competition. The match started yesterday, Thursday 10 February.
The SWD batting unit needs to fire on all cylinders. SWD is currently third on the log at 49.32 points after three matches.
Northern Cape Heat (88.66 points from five matches) are followed by Tuskers (73.72 points from four matches) and SWD (72.22 points from four matches). Batting bonus points are crucial for SWD.
Allrounder Onke Nyaku was still unavailable due to a hamstring injury. One change was made to the team that defeated Impala Limpopo two weeks ago, with Renaldo Meyer coming in for Herschell America.
