CRICKET NEWS - The Garden Route Badgers women's team recorded back-to-back victories in last weekend's Hollywoodbets Pro series matches against the Dolphins in Oudtshoorn.
Thanks to Julia Hoal (80), the Badgers - 202/8 - posted a competitive total in the Pro50 match, after which they dismissed the Dolphins for 193 for a 15-run victory.
The spinner, Kiara Fisher, bagged 4/38 in a match-winning bowling performance.
The Pro20 match on Sunday was reduced to nine overs per batting side with the Badgers making 65/2 and restricting the Dolphins to 63/4 for a two-run victory.
The Badgers women are still in the relegation zone as they enter this weekend's final pool stage matches against the Fidelity Titans in Oudtshoorn.
