Already confirmed for unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show next month, the interior, much like the exterior, has been watered-down mildly, and retains the wood inlays on the dashboard, the all-digital, one piece panoramic display for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, as well as the air vents mounted underneath and the just visible buttons for the climate control panel.
Unsurprisingly, the switch from concept to production has resulted in a few differences with the pod-like switches mounted below the display falling away in favour of a number of physical buttons, while the steering wheel appears to have come from the Jazz and features buttons for the cruise control, voice recognition, audio system and heating function to name but a few.
Sporting five-doors instead of the concept’s three like the original 1972 Civic and reportedly set to feature a range of 250km, production of the Urban EV will commence towards the end of the year with sales forecasted to start in early 2020.
