Expected to rival the Audi Q3, BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA and forthcoming Volvo XC40, the UX will reportedly ride on the same TNGA platform as the Toyota C-HR and feature the latest iteration of the brand's spindle grille derived from the RC and LS.
At present, specification remains unknown despite previous reports that Lexus had filled a trademark application for the names UX200, UX250 and UX250h, suggesting the use of the same 2.0-litre turbocharged engine as the bigger NX, the normally aspirated 2.5-litre petrol powering the ES and the 2.5-litre hybrid mill also from the NX.
More details are likely to emerge leading up to the UX's unveiling on March 6th.
