GEORGE NEWS - Residents of Pacaltsdorp and Hansmoeskraal should take note that resurfacing of Beach Road, between the Panther Street / WWTW intersection and Olympic Street, will be in progress for nine days, from Monday 2 March to Wednesday 11 March.
Two-way traffic will be possible over the entire road, but will be limited to only one lane per direction, while sections are closed to traffic between 07:30 and 17:00 daily.
Site access will be managed and communicated with residents and businesses to ensure that minimum disruption is caused.
There will be height differences in the road where repairs are being done. Road users, including pedestrians, should take extra care during the duration of the construction period and especially in wet and dark conditions. Low profile vehicles and motorcycles should take special care.
Temporary road signs and markings will be in effect.
