GEORGE NEWS - Local beauty queen Jade Joy Swartzs (13) will be representing South Africa on the international stage at the Miss Teen Global 2026 competition in Malaysia, after her family successfully secured the necessary funding to make her journey possible.
Jade is a Grade Eight learner of York High School with a heart for serving the community through charity work, including ongoing support for cancer-related initiatives.
She will compete against 20 international finalists for the coveted Miss Teen Global title. The international leg of the pageant is set to take place from 7 May.
Jade currently holds an impressive 14th place on the public voting leader board, keeping her firmly in contention as the excitement builds ahead of the global event.
Public support remains crucial. The voting for the Pre Arrival Star Award is still open until 7 May, and the People's Choice Award until 10 May, giving her supporters a final opportunity to boost her ranking.
