GEORGE NEWS - Ward 15 Councillor Faith Mdaka handed over a donation of a printer and a laptop to the office of the Disabled People of South Africa (DPSA) in Thembalethu on Wednesday 15 April.
The donation by the councillor was made possible by the George Municipality to empower the organisation in their work of helping people with disabilities. The DPSA office is based at the Thembalethu Thusong Centre where it assists people with disabilities with various issues.
Gloria Nombengu from DPSA said the computer will bring much relief to the organisation as now they will be able to send emails and write letters.
"We are happy that the councillor has donated this computer to us. We will no longer need to use a pen to write important document. This has brought great relief to us," she said.
