GEORGE NEWS - The George CPF’s annual George Christmas Mass Ride is taking place this afternoon, Saturday 20 December, from 16:00 till about 20:00 during which sweets and small gifts will be handed out to children along the way.
The mass ride will start at the Outeniqua Stadium, from where everyone will drive through various neighbourhoods. There will be a 10-minute stop at nine stop points, where the CPF members will hand out sweets and small gifts to the children of the areas.
Businesses are welcome to join in at the stop points in their respective areas and also hand out treats.
Members of the CPF - police, law enforcement officers, traffic officers, volunteers, private security companies and ambulance services - will take part in the mass ride. It's a way of reaching out and interacting with the community they serve, says Rupert Pretorius, the chairperson.

- Stop point 2: Pieter Theron Street park - 16:35
- Stop point 3: Die Vlakkie park, Blanco - 17:00
