GEORGE NEWS - Local beauty and athlete Eulize du Plessis has been selected as one of the top 11 finalists for the prestigious Miss Global South Africa 2025 pageant.
The grand finale will take place in Pretoria in early December, when the winner will go on to represent South Africa at the Miss Global International in Thailand.
At just 19 years old, Du Plessis has already established herself as a dynamic young woman, balancing a flourishing modelling career with an impressive range of sporting achievements.
As a former provincial and national gym-nast, she currently represents her province in hockey, competes in road and trial running races as a member of the Nedbank Running Club, and enjoys playing competitive padel matches.
Her journey in modelling began in 2023, after which she secured a few prestigious titles along the way.
Her primary modelling focus now is working hard on her big dream of being crowned as the new Miss Global South Africa.
Beyond the spotlight, Du Plessis is pas-sionate about women empowerment. She recently launched her own brand, Sisterhood of Strength, a platform that focuses on em-
powering and uplifting women through charity work, community outreach and personal development. The brand hosts a series of podcasts on which women from all walks of life share their experiences and visions.
Through the Sisterhood of Strength, she engages in charity work that includes regular visits to Wild Mangoo in George, where she supports and empowers underprivileged women.
"I am truly grateful for this opportunity and the incredible support I've received from my sponsors, friends and the George community," says Du Plessis. "This journey is about more than just a title, it's about representing young women who dream big and stand strong."
