Update
GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - Emergency personnel remain on scene and are working as quickly as possible following the collision involving two trucks on Kaaimans Pass.
Traffic is currently backed up past Sedgefield.
The Department of Health is on scene to inspect the truck’s load before it can be offloaded.
At least one of the trucks will need to be removed to allow a stop-and-go system to be implemented.
The road closure will remain in place for at least another two hours, and Kaaimans Pass is currently closed in both directions. No alternative routes are accessible at this stage.
The public is requested to avoid the area and exercise patience while emergency personnel complete their work. Further updates will follow.
