GEORGE NEWS - The Royal Rhino African Cream Liqueur bottle design of local businessman Louis Lategan has won another award.
Lategan was delighted when he received the news last week that his design, a bottle in the shape of a rhino horn, was granted a WorldStar Award in the WorldStar Awards 2020 presented by the World Packaging Orginasation (WPO). Judging took place in Bali, Indonesia, during November.
Representatives from 36 packaging associations judged 321 packaging projects from 36 countries.
The liqueur in the Lategan-designed bottle is marketed under the brand of Van Loveren Family Vineyards / Nature's Own Beverages. The design also won two gold awards at the South African Packaging Awards earlier this year.
Lategan says he is hoping to attend the WorldStar awards ceremony in Düsseldorf in May next year.
