GEORGE NEWS - The York High Animal Club has received a green award in recognition of the amazing work they do for animals in the community.
The green award is the initiative of Landmark Foundation in collaboration with George Municipality and the support of George Council, as an incentive to recognise schools that are active in community outreach projects, environmental activities, animal welfare and education.
The York High Animal Club is committed and dedicated to the well-being of animals that are victims of abuse, neglect and suffering.
These learners also help caring owners through assistance with food, medical care, sterilisation and education, fencing and dog houses.
A special thanks goes to Hayley Kayser and Simone Brugger, who lead these young learners by example.
