GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The Springrally charity rally aims to raise over R200k for Red Cross Children’s Hospital this year.
The event departs the Motor Studio at Lourensford, on Saturday, 9 September at 08:00.
Springrally, the much-anticipated gathering of classic and exotic car enthusiasts, is set to rev its engines for the sixth consecutive year on September 9 and 10.
The exclusive one-day, one-night road trip through the picturesque landscapes of the Western Cape brings together like-minded car enthusiasts and makes a significant impact on the community by raising funds for the Red Cross Children's Hospital Trust.
Last year, 65 cars with 120 participants raised R220 000 through participation fees, sponsorship and a raffle of high-end prizes including wines, luxury weekends away and restaurant vouchers.
Organised by a group of passionate individuals who prefer to remain anonymous, Springrally has become a highlight on the calendar for motor car aficionados. This year, the event aims to better the amount raised to support the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital in Cape Town.
This world-class hospital has been a lifeline for countless children, offering vital medical care, research, and education. The Trust plays a crucial role in providing financial assistance to the hospital, ensuring that it continues to provide exceptional care to young patients in need.
The funds generated will contribute directly to improving healthcare services and facilities for children, furthering the Trust's mission of ensuring that no child goes without the medical care they deserve.
The rally starts at the Motor Studio at Lourensford, on Saturday at 8am, a unique opportunity to witness the roaring engines, gleaming exteriors, and passionate spirit of the participating car owners as they embark on this journey for a good cause.
The day’s travel ends in Arniston, where the festivities unfold that evening. Follow the journey of #SPRINGRALLY23 on social media for live updates and highlights throughout the event.
