MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The two men killed in a shooting incident at a guest house in KwaNonqaba, Mossel Bay, on Monday 15 March in what seems to have been a "hit", were George businessman Siyabonga Gxakoshe (31) and Michael Modizetji (35).
Gxakoshe's body was found at the entrance outside the guest house. He was already dead when police arrived at the scene.
Modizetji was found inside the guest house with the four other wounded victims, one man and three women. He was in a critical condition and died at Mossel Bay Provincial Hospital.
Police have not released the identities of the four victims who survived the shooting.
A preliminary investigation suggests that they were visiting Gxakoshe, who was booked in at the guest house.
They were having drinks at about 20:00 in the dining room of the King Phalo guest house when three suspects entered the facility and started shooting. None of their belongings were taken. It is alleged that the three suspects fled the scene in two vehicles.
Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Christopher Spies says no one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Anyone with information that could help in the police investigation is urged to contact the KwaNonqaba Police on 044 606 5609 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
