GEORGE NEWS - A tight-lipped Castro Leholo, deputy convener of the Thembalethu Community Forum, the organiser of the protest march that took place on Friday 17 November, acknowledged that the forum is not fully satisfied with the responses to their demands but conceded that a platform for dialogue has been established.
The demonstration consisted of a small group of 120 marchers and 10 taxis, led by Thembalethu clergy, who marched from Thembalethu to the CBD under the banner of the newly launched Thembalethu Community Forum.
Leholo handed a diverse range of concerns to the George municipality, the police and officials from the Western Cape Department of Education and Transport.
"The forum is studying the replies and will issue a statement once we have analysed the replies," Castro said. "We have met with some of the role players."
