The 17-year-old Ace Model is in Grade 11 in Outeniqua High and is appearing in a fashion spread in this week's People Magazine. The article is titled 'Summer Bliss' and runs from page 44 to 47.
Juvani trains under Isobel Vermeulen, the owner and Director of Ace Models South Cape and is also signed with Fan Jam in Cape Town and Star Model Management in Johannesburg.
Juvani, who first wants to finish matric, is aiming to become a top international model and will take a gap year in 2015 to further this aim. Her mom, Lee Basson who describes her daughter as her barefoot child, says Juvani has her feet firmly on the ground, "She is down to earth and spontaneous."
Juvani says she also wants to study graphic design. "But first I am going to pursue the modelling dream. I am a great fan of Kate Moss and hope to become, like Moss, a top photographic model."
The family has been in George since 2008 and this is also when Juvani started modelling. She was approached by People Magazine to do the shoot that was shot at Herold's Bay.
The stylist was Mandy Varrie who also stays in George and the photographer, Grant Difford.
This is no ordinary family as Juvani's older sister, Chanel, is a chopper pilot in Pretoria. She also has a (very proud) brother, Dante in grade 9 at Outeniqua High.
