GEORGE NEWS - Three suspects, including a 16-year-old, were arrested on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition in Thembalethu on Wednesday 29 November.
This follows after Public Order Police (Pops) in conjunction with Thembalethu and Pacaltsdorp police followed up leads on a burglary perpetrated in Pacaltsdorp earlier this week.
“The investigation took the members to a house at Thembalethu where a search of the premises ensued. The members confiscated a firearm part and one round of ammunition, concealed inside. ,” said Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies.
Three occupants aged between, 16 and 27 were arrested
The trio was scheduled to make their first court appearance in the Thembalethu Magistrate’s court today, Friday 1 December.
