PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - A welcome new addition to Plettenberg Bay's food retail offering is the Checkers Plettenberg Bay Mall that opened on 22 March.
Yolandé and Ewald Stander were there to witness dignitaries from Checkers and Bitou Municipality cut the ceremonial ribbon, after which it was the turn of the eager shoppers who came in their droves to try out this new shopping experience.
The large supermarket has created 160 new jobs in the local community, of which 113 are youths and 98 women.
