We are seeking a highly organized and proactive manager to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our shop, while allowing us to focus on strategic initiatives.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a competitive team and contribute significantly to the company’s success.
The Manager in George will be responsible for, but not limited to, all sales activities – ranging from welcoming customers, offering beverages, answering the telephone, assisting the Director and GM, managing the sales consultant, professionally liaising with clients, purchasing and selling items and providing accurate product information.
Job description:
- Managing the shop and sales consultant to ensure that all tasks are completed within time and to a high standard
- Building and maintaining long term customer relationships by being approachable and friendly, and by providing accurate product information
- Upholding the company’s brand, values and ethics at all times
- Prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and projects of all kinds
- Providing administrative support and reporting directly to the Director and GM
- Managing and reconciling transactions in Xero
- Purchasing, testing and selling precious metals, bullion and diamonds
- Managing Petty Cash
- Making EFT payments from bank accounts
- Maintaining daily stock sheets and end-of-day cash-ups
- Doing adjustments of all purchased items when needed
- Ensuring the store upholds brand expectations and standards, and is presentable, immaculate and customer ready at all times
- Driving sales to increase profitability and customer bases, by initiating marketing ideas and brand promotions – always striving to achieve monthly targets for the entire team
- Ensuring stock inventory and Petty Cash on POS is correct, and that all sales and purchase documents are uploaded along with all the required supporting documents
- Diligently verifying all clients as prescribed by the company’s RMCP
- Timeously attending to social media leads, as well as queries, and following up in a friendly and professional manner
- Willingness to work overtime
- Must be able to work Saturdays from 09:00 – 13:00

- Being accountable for mistakes.
Qualifications needed:
- Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics (minimum and non-negotiable) – the certificate will be physically required;
- Proven experience as a manager within a previous retail environment;
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, Xero, Explorer and Outlook;
- Ability to pass a background check (no criminal record)
- Previous jewellery or precious metals field experience or any higher education qualifications are advantageous/preferrable, but not compulsory.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Afrikaans and English
