GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS - George Municipality is directed to monitor and control social distancing, restriction of movement and stringent basic hygiene practices in communities and int he work place to mitigate the risk of transmission of the Covid-19 virus.
Our online building plan submission portal was launched on 21 February 2019 and enables electronic document handling.
The online submission of applications minimizes person to person contact and potential resultant transmission through handling of documents. The health and safety of our staff and clients is of utmost importance, hence the use of this portal is preferred and encouraged.
Architects and Professional Draughtsman are therefore reminded of our existing electronic portal and are encouraged to make use of this tool as opposed to manual submission. Your continued use of the portal post COVID-19, will aid in reducing our carbon footprint and will also relieve much of our administration currently invested in handling hard copies of documents.
Detailed instructions on the use of the portal can be downloaded from the Documents section on the George Municipality website or requested via email: vnlaws@george.gov.za / agriessel@george.gov.za
No application will be accepted at the offices of Building Control until further notice.
