Cell C's Take a Girl Child to Work Day was first launched in 2003 and in the past nine years has seen over 2 000 companies and government departments participate in the day.
Grade 10-12 South African girl learners are targeted by Cell C's Take a Girl Child to Work Day in which the girls are given the opportunity to visit a place of work and to experience various career opportunities available in industry and within the public service sector first-hand.
The George Airport staff spent the morning introducing the girls to the function of the George Airport and introduced the learners to Acsa's client services, Aviation Security, Air Traffic and Navigations Sytems and the Flight Training College, to name but a few.
A morning thoroughly enjoyed by the learners came to an end with light snacks served to them in the George Airport's Outeniqua Boardroom.

Each girl learner received a goodie bag from Acsa. From left: the delight on the faces of Thami Kibido, Endlay Muller and Yasmin Willemse speaks volumes.
