GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality has confirmed a planned water outage for Soetewyde Street on Wednesday, 2 July, due to a scheduled bulk water connection.
The water supply to properties in the area will be affected from 09:00 to 16:00.
According to the municipality, the work forms part of ongoing infrastructure improvements.
Residents and businesses are advised to store enough water in advance and to make the necessary preparations.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances that delay the planned work, the water outage will be rescheduled to Thursday, 3 July from 09:00 – 16:00
Motorists and pedestrians in the affected area are urged to proceed with caution during the construction period.
Flag personnel will be available to assist with safe passage where required.
