GEORGE NEWS - George Fire Rescue Services will conduct a control burn this morning, Tuesday 23 September, north-west of the Denneoord Water Works as part of the Kat River Alien Vegetation Management Project.
The operation reduces wildfire risks and supports water security for the Garden Route Dam.
Weather conditions, including a breeze towards the mountain and expected rainfall tonight, are favourable.
Please note that control burns are dependent on ambient conditions, and short notice may sometimes be unavoidable.
