Agrella het egter al 11 jaar gelede die korporatiewe wêreld vaarwel geroep en met sy vrou, Susan, 'n Springbok-skermkunstenaar, van Kaapstad na die Tuinroete verhuis. Hulle seun Julio jr, 'n sjef wat in Frankryk gekwalifiseer het, bedryf 'n huisrestaurant, Bistro Celeiro op die plaas - natuurlik met sy ouers wat flink assisteer. Tussen al die bistro- en plaaswerk skryf Agrella in die klein ure van die nag kortverhale, limerieke, poësie en nou ook, gelukkig, speurverhale.
