GEORGE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - Attic Atelier hosts an evocative exhibition, Wild, showcasing artworks created during a workshop by the CAP Institute for Contemporary Art Practice. The exhibition runs from 26 April to 17 May.
Led by Prof Elfriede Dreyer, founder of the institute, the workshop blended natural and conventional materials to explore humanity’s connection to wild nature in the George plantation.
Participants engaged in an experimental approach, honing creative, conceptual and technical skills.
The resulting artworks reflect profound themes: personal identity as mortal, natural beings; nature’s processes mirroring human experiences; humanity’s environmental impact; and the call to care for our planet.
Concepts of connectedness and an inner wilderness also pervade the pieces, crafted with materials sourced from the environment.
"The quiet place", René Scribante (2025).
This exhibition invites viewers to reflect on their relationship with nature through art that is both innovative and deeply rooted in the wild.
