ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - It was my first encounter with live jazz - and now I understand what all the fuss is about.
Beyond being an extraordinary art form in its own right, it is a joy to witness musicians in conversation with one another, fully immersed in the moment, shaping and reshaping the music as they respond to the energy on stage.
There is something truly special about watching that kind of spontaneous creation unfold live.

That magic was on full display on Saturday evening, 11 April, when the dynamic jazz trio Triou took the stage at the Market Community Theatre. Performing to an appreciative audience, the group delivered a vibrant and engaging set that blended the essence of a classic piano trio with a fresh, contemporary twist.
With pianist Blake Hellaby, Sean Sanby on bass and drummer Pascal Haas, Triou's repertoire spans a wide musical landscape.

The trio has extended an invitation to jazz enthusiasts to visit their newly established Cape Town Jazz Club in Claremont, where patrons can enjoy more live performances in a relaxed setting - with the added convenience of ample parking.
