ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - Bargain hunters will have the opportunity to browse a fresh selection of second-hand goods when JJ Watson Old Age Home's Blikkies Mall will be trading on Thursday 6 August as part of its monthly fund-raising sale.
The popular charity 'mall' has unpacked new stock and shoppers can expect a wide variety of quality pre-loved items, including kitchenware, books, linen, clothing, ornaments and other household goods.
Sales will as usual be open from 09:00 to 12:00.
Visitors can also enjoy refreshments in the tea garden where a selection of treats will be for sale. Fresh curried mince vetkoek will be available for R25 each.
Card payment facilities will be available.
The monthly sale is an initiative organised by volunteers to raise much-needed funds for the home.
Laetitia Dysel, organiser of the event, invited visitors to come and support the initiative.
"Pick up a bargain while helping to fund the work of the home that relies on funding from various churches and the public to balance their books," she said.
JJ Watson Old Age Home is situated at the corner of Cradock and Fitchat streets.
