GEORGE NEWS - York High School present their musical production Hairspray - The Musical , at the York High school hall in Meade Street this week. Shows will take place tonight, 8 August, tomorrow, Thursday and Saturday, 12 August.
The production, which has been staged in famous theatres around the world such as the West End in London and on Broadway in New York, has a wonderful feel-good theme.
"We have no doubt that the very talented Yorkie's cast will do the show proud," said Jimmy Power, York High's marketing manager. "Join us for a wonderful evening of music, dancing, hilarity and great fun."
Show times
The week day performances start at 18:30 and tickets are R50 per person, while the gala evening on Saturday 12 August starts at 19:00 and tickets are R60 per person (which includes refreshments).
Tickets are available at the school office or at the door half an hour before each show.
